Wow, were we busy!

We have been working hard on a lot of things this week.
We are:
*Preparing for Dr. Seuss week, next week
*Trying to do a bit of Spring cleaning....for those of you snowed in don't get mad...we have warm, windy weather right now and it inspires cleaning
*Assessing for report cards and preparing for conferences

Well, with all that, I have a few things to share for the Friday 5...on Saturday!

1---
I have been trying to figure out a cool bulletin board or decor (to do 1st thing Monday morning).  I want to do something like the pics below.  Something cool that catches attention!  I don't do a ton of fun boards these days...too busy/tired/etc.  I found this somewhere in the land of Pinterest!  Dr. Seuss week is the perfect week to do something new and different.

Ideas Classroom Door Decorations  Bulletin Board Ideas for Dr. Seuss Celebration- The Lorax, Truffula Tree Forest.

2---
My class completed their flag ceremony presentation.  The kids wrote about adventures they would have with Thing 1 and Thing 2 and drew pictures to go with it.

3---
My oldest daughter had a feast and celebration from the Renaissance era in her class on Valentine's Day.

4---
I can't wait to try this cute thing this week!  I found it on Pinterest.
Fun idea!

5---
I missed the NM Blogger get together a bit ago.  Then the folks who went, didn't get to take any pics, so I don't have any to share via the other folks.  I hope to get another visit organized around April.  I really wanted to attend, but had a special thing that came up for my daughter, and we couldn't turn it down.
She was given a supporting role on one of Investigation Discovery's shows.  She got to play the daughter of a murder victim.  My daughter LOVED every second of it.  It was quite an opportunity.  We loved the people she got to work with, all such amazing and kind people.  We would do it again in a heart beat.
Here she is waiting for the shoot to begin.

Have a Seuss-tacular week everyone!

  1. I love Dr. Seuss! One year I had each kid make a Truffula tree and write what they thought the lesson of The Lorax is. It made a really awesome display!
