Love this idea for a linky from Fun in K/1
What day is it?!?! Hump Day, what, what!!! Love that silly camel from the commercial. Makes me smile every time.
So, here is my helpful hint....
From day 1 of being a teacher, I have found it difficult to keep work at work and home at home. I ALWAYS work at home. ALWAYS! I cannot seem to stop. I have so much grading, planning, sorting, and researching to do. ALWAYS! I made a promise to myself that this year would be different. It is. I am making every effort to leave work by 4:30 every day. I watch the clock like a hawk when getting materials ready, grading, and planning.
When 4:30 hits, I drop it all and head out to get my beautiful 1st and 4th grade daughters, and head home. It has been super hard to do, but I am doing it. I am already a nicer mom because of it. I am able to breath on the way home and hear about my kid's days, instead of panic about all the stuff I now have to do at home.
I am getting most things done (not all as that seems physically impossible), because besides the time limit, I also am working really hard on stream lining my teaching. More to come on that another day.
Sorry, that was long winded. Helpful hint, the short version- set a quitting time and stick to it!
Amy
I love this! This is something I need to work on. Although, sometimes my work just gets a ride in the car! Thanks for sharing! Love the camel by the way :)

Thanks for linking up with me at Fun in K1! I love your idea. I have a 4th and 7th grader. My 7th grader starts school at 7:15 and we don't start until 8:30 (9:00 for kids). I have been trying to get it all done in the morning. I have to leave right at the end of my day 3 days a week to play taxi for the girls. So I am doing pretty good, so far!
