Listening- I just joined the Teach Happy Membership on Sheila Jane's website. Check it out, she has a ton of information and connects you to people who are amazing and upbeat yet real. I am so excited!
Loving- see this post
Thinking- Ok, I did it. I stayed up crazy late to plan the math, reading, and science for the next and final 8 weeks of school. I also made up my final 7 hw cover sheets for the year. I still have phonics/Fundations (separate plans) and social studies to complete. I still have to make copies for everything but wahoo for the giant amount I did already!!!!
Wanting- spring break is coming to a close and I want to do something cute for my nails. So, I have some new Jamberry strips that I want to get on before I go back to school.
It's April, folks. Go out there and be great!
I am so interested in learning more about Shelia Jane!!! And am so jealous of your trip to the conference at Ron Clark!!! As well as the fact you are so far ahead with your plans! I did the next four weeks and was excited about that!!! Love finding 1st grade bloggers!!!!
ReplyDeleteSheila Jane rocks! Check out her website. You don't have to be a member to get some great pd or information from it. I am going to RCA due to my amazing PTA. I put on a presentation for them about why I needed their funding to pay for the trip (i.e. why RCA is so awesome) and they gave me full funding! Try asking your PTA, maybe they will help you, too. :)
DeleteWow, you planned 8 weeks at once? I had a heck of a time planning for two weeks for a sub while I'm on leave plus the week after that for me (which also starts testing week, yuck). I probably would die of boredom if I had to do 8 weeks at once :) I like planning just in smaller doses!
ReplyDeleteOnce I got on a roll it wasn't too bad.
DeleteSub plans and my plans, two very different things. I plan every detail for a sub. For my plans I just do the major outline and write little notes to remind myself what I want to do. Nothing like sub plans...those are so hard.
Wow, you have many great adventures ahead of you! Blogger get together, Sheila Jane, Ron Clark Academy, I'm so jealous! I'm pretty impressed about being planned ahead, I can barely get a couple of days ahead these days!

Normally I am a week ahead kinda girl, but I am trying really hard to find more time to spend with my daughters. This was the best way I could think of.
DeleteI am currently in the process of planning for three weeks and am having a hard time! 8 weeks! WOW! Kudos to you!
ReplyDeleteWhat Jamberries did you get?
Cheers,

Thanks! I stayed up crazy late to get it done- and this is not my first year at this grade level, so I had plans from last year as a guide.
DeleteJamberry- I got black and white stripes. I think they were clearance... but new to me. :)
You got a lot done! That must be a big weight off your shoulders!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! It just allows a little more family time at home now.
